On July 29, 2019, Forum Engineering Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, President: Tsutomu Sato) entered into a formal alliance with the Fukui University of Technology to offer engineer training. Now based on this agreement, we held Hokuriku's first industry-academic cooperative engineer training program starting from October 23rd together with the Fukui University of Technology and nearby manufacturers.

The first lecture focused on mechanical engineering and targeted young engineers working for J-BUS Ltd.

The program employs university instructors with a high level of expertise and well equipped facilities. The training also aims to raise the level of fundamental knowledge businesses require among young and mid-career engineers, and provide the knowledge acquisition necessary to foster improvement activities in the workplace.

Our Cognavi College service acts as an intermediary between businesses and the university. The service also allows us to customize the training program according to the needs of businesses. Both businesses and the university benefit from the setup as businesses get training programs tailored to their individual company, and the university gets to conduct recurrent education for local industry.

The service strengthens communication between industry and academia, opening up possibilities for future employment of new graduates and joint research. This, in turn, contributes to regional vitalization.
