Our Indian subsidiary Cognavi India exhibits at the Japan Habba Tech Fair
Cognavi India Private Limited (Cognavi India), a subsidiary established by the Company in India last year, plans to launch a job portal site for new graduates in India in late June 2023. A pilot version of this system was recently presented to visitors at the Japan Habba Tech Fair, a Japan-India technology conference held in Bangalore, India.
The event is an annual technology conference held at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science and Technology Bangalore (IISc Bangalore) in conjunction with the Japan Habba, which aims to promote cultural exchange between India and Japan. The event which was held physically for the first time in several years due to the impact of the COVID-19, featured lectures by Japanese companies operating in India and exhibition booths showcasing the technologies, products, and services of participating Japanese companies, attracting visitors from Indian academic and industrial circles with a keen interest in India-Japanese collaboration. The event was attended by people from Indian academia and industry with a keen interest in Japan-India collaboration.
From Cognavi India, Managing Director Varun Modgill spoke on 'UNLOCKING THE POWER OF DATA: DRIVING SMARTER PLACEMENT DECISIONS'. In his speech, he talked about completely new concepts and technologies that can solve India's low employment rate recruitment challenges and dramatically increase the efficiency of job hunting to help students have fulfilling careers, and introduced the job portal for new graduates in India that he is developing himself. He also introduced the job portal for new graduates in India.
The Cognavi India booth set up in the exhibition hall also gave visiting students a hands-on experience of the pilot version of the job portal site. In Japan, it is common for students to search for and find companies and jobs they wish to apply for after creating a resume, but this process is not yet established in India. In response to this, Cognavi India plans to introduce the first job portal site to the Indian market, which will provide a one-stop service for students to create a resume, search for jobs and apply to companies in India. This new initiative was met with a flurry of praise from visitors, including Indian students, who commented on the user-friendliness of the site, the ease of viewing the webpage, and the novelty of the idea. Here are some of them.
'This was my first experience of the RESUME BUILDER function for creating a resume, but the UI (User Interface) was very good and easy to use, and I enjoyed creating my resume.' (Indian student A)
'I found the skills analysis screen to organise my university courses that will be launched very easy to read and exciting.' (Indian student B)
'I thought the idea itself was novel, as there is no service in India that provides job hunters with all-in-one support, from resume writing to job search and application. I can't wait for the official launch of this service.' (Indian company representative C)
Our Indian subsidiary Cognavi India will launch a job portal service for new Indian graduates in the end of June to meet the expectations of these people and connect Indian students with companies.
